Avenue School Choir

Children from year 3 - 6 are members of our school choir. In it's fourth year now, Miss Curtis had a growing number of children attending last year and Mrs Underwood hopes to maintain it this year.

Singing is a really excellent way of making music. It supports the children's development in many areas including memory skills. A great social activity and a place to learn alongside children from other year groups.

Recently, the children in our choir took part in a massed singing day with children from Granby, Montrose, Marriott, Holy Cross, St Thomas More and Rolleston Primary. The day was an excellent success.

Our next project is 'Young Voices'. We are heading to the Genting Arena, Birmingham in January to sing as part of a massed choir.

There are still places available in the choir. Speak to the office for a permission slip.

There is a 50p charge per week for this club.
