These rockets show the most commonly used words.

Help your child to recognise the common words by sight. Cut out the words on the side of the sheet and show them to your child to play matching games, jumble them up or work through them a few at a time. Start from 'Rocket 1' and then move on to 'Rocket 2'. Once they recognise the words on the sheet, move on to the next rocket.

We will be teaching common words at school, looking for them in books and in the environment too, such as on signs.
