Free Breakfast Offer 

Our free breakfast offer is available again this year (2025-26) through the National Breakfast Programme.

This year we are offering it to Years 1-6 from the beginning of the academic year, and then it will be open to F2 from after October half term once they have had the time to settle into school.

At present, we are unable to offer this service to our nursery children unless they have an older sibling in school and are fully toilet trained. This does incur a charge of £4 per session and needs to be booked in advance ( if you contact the office a form can be sent). Caterpillar children will not be able to attend until after Monday 27th October. This is again to allow them time to settle. 

This service will operate every morning for the whole academic year. Your child can attend daily or on an adhoc fashion and there is no need to pre-book, your child/children.

The Avenue Road Extension gate is opened at 8.20am until 8.30am for our free breakfast offer. The gates will re-open at 8.40am for normal arrival times. Children that arrive after 8.30am will not be able to access the breakfast provision and will go straight into class when the gates open at 8.40am.

We are unable to offer a late breakfast outside of the times outlined. The children are invited to make their way up the Year 1 ramp into our small hall. We will be continuing to offer an assortment of different cereals and bagels/toast each day.

Children attending this offer should not have eaten breakfast, this is not part of the school’s childcare offer, if you require childcare, please contact Luke (see below).

Please note, when parents drop their children off at the gates for our breakfast offer, your child will be supervised and then head to their respective classes at 8.40am (Year 3–6) or 8.45am (Year R, 1 & 2).

If your child has a ‘special dietary requirement’, please inform the office in advance so that we can cater fully for your child.

Early Drop Off Breakfast Club

We are delighted to confirm that Avenue Breakfast Club will be running again this year (2025-2026), with children being looked after by Miss Gowlett and Miss Chambers.

During the session, they will provide cereal, toast and fruit (please let them know of any dietary requirements in advance).

Before attending, all families must complete a booking form – whether you wish to book for set days each week, pay as you go or as a one-off session. Once your form has been submitted, we kindly ask that you notify us of any changes.

Key information:

• Cost: £5.00 per day
• Payment: Invoices will be sent monthly. Please note we are unable to accept voucher schemes or tax-free childcare. Payment should be made via BACS only, as the club is now cash-free.
• Drop-off: Between 7:45–8:00am at the Avenue Road Extension gate, where staff will greet you and your child.
• Activities: Children will be signed in and enjoy a mixture of free play and structured games, with a variety of indoor and outdoor activities, before being taken to their classrooms for the start of the school day.
