In March 2018, Avenue Primary had a visit from a Challenge Partner Review team. The team consisted of a lead reviewer, who is a trained and practising Ofsted inspector, and three senior leaders from other schools around the UK. 

 

In March 2019, the school had further review from another Challenge Partner team. Again, led by a trained Ofsted inspector and three senior leaders from schools in the south of England.  In this more recent review, the school was awarded an 'Area of Excellence' for phonics and reading in EYFS / KS1.
