At Avenue Primary School we believe in High Quality First Teaching to support the learning and development of all pupils so they make good progress.

Our staff have different areas of expertise and we have a wide range of training across the school.  Training undertaken by staff members is cascaded throughout year groups and phases to ensure a consistent and quality approach to all interventions.

We work very closely with the Local Authority and other outside agencies in education, health and social care, to ensure staff have the tools they need to meet the individual needs of all pupils. 

We recognise the importance of providing all our staff with high quality training in order to develop their skills and expertise in the specialist roles they carry out.

Staff at Avenue are Team Teach trained allowing them to perform safe physical intervention when required for specific children.
