How do we support pupils in their social, emotional and mental development?
Across the school, Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural development (SMSC) is built into learning. This may be in the form of verbal sessions, written work or quiet reflections.
As a school we provide children with the chance to reflect on their progress and explore their thoughts and feelings. We have weekly collective worship sessions in classes that are related to learning or current events.
More specifically we have several interventions that support children's Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) and well-being.
- Emotional Literacy Support Assistants (ELSA) as part of the Pastoral Team
- Drawing and Talking
- Key Stage 1 Nurture Groups
- Morning Breakfast Club
- Play Interaction
- Lunchtime Lego Club
