  School will be closed due to the adverse weather conditions. We must ensure the health and safety of our staff and children.  Many of our staff travel in from county areas. We are sorry for any inconvenience that this closure has caused.

   

• Green School Award Winners!

  Avenue primary school is delighted to announce that we won the Keeping it Green category at the Leicester Mercury School Awards last night.
  
  Huge thanks to Sue Pears and all staff, and particularly to the eco-committee and all the children of Avenue.

• Cross Country

  Well done to all the cross country runners who turned up for the final league race on a cold and snowy November morning. Fantastic runs by newcomers Aiya Richards and Jack Rutland. Consistent and solid runs from Anna McKinnon, Nadia Ahmed, Wyatt Taylor-Carroll, and Will Raynard. Finally, a big thank you to Pheobe Raynard, Esme Tomlinson and Otto Davis, who ran their last league race for Avenue, for their commitment over the last 4 years. 
  
   

• Table Tennis Success

  We've done it again! Our brilliant table tennis teams have taken the county finals by storm. Last Wednesday the boys toppled Brocks Hill in the final, and the girls finished eventual runners up to Hincley and in closely-contested match that went to the final game. Both teams will now compete for Leicestershire at the regional finals on January 13th. Really proud of you all - let's keep achieving!
