Easter Holiday - School Closure
Thu 02 Apr 2020Dear Families,
Following discussions with parents, governors and the Local Authority I have made the decision that Avenue will be closed for the planned 2 weeks over Easter.
This is because the number of children of key workers requesting childcare over Easter was not sufficient to remain open. We have arranged alternate provision at another primary school in the South of Leicester City to support these children.
We will be open in our present restricted form on the 20th April and will be accepting the children of key workers & vulnerable families from this date.
Yours sincerely,
Louise Underwood

Home Learning Packs For Self-Isolation
Wed 18 Mar 2020We are in the process of completing the home learning packs for each phase for this week. They will be emailed out to families where we already know there are children who are self-isolating.
The packs will also be available on the school website on the class pages. These packs are a trial and we may make changes next week to how they are organised/what learning is set.
We are also looking at other platforms we may be able to use in order to set learning and allow us to feedback on it.
Hopefully, next week you will receive an email address which will be class based and you and your child will be able to use this to communicate with your child’s class teacher and send any work in for feedback.
As you can imagine, there is a lot for us to organise at the moment and we are trying to make things as workable as possible for those self-isolating.
If you would like a paper copy of the home learning, please ask at the school office.
